What you earn

We believe our commission rates are some of the best in the market. Rather than argue that in a headline, we will put the numbers in front of you on the first call and let you compare them yourself.

Commission for as long as they are yours

Paid on HazNode® Safety cash actually collected, every month you remain their consultant of record — not a one-off fee at signing, and not clawed back because someone paid late.

Self-billed, so you raise nothing

Paid monthly, excluding tax and calculated before Stripe’s processing fees come out. We issue the invoice ourselves once you have accepted the statement.

One consultant of record

Every client tenancy attaches to exactly one consultant. No shared attribution, no arguing after the fact about who introduced whom. If a client changes consultant, the commission follows the client.

Priority on inbound leads

Organisations that sign up direct and then want help setting up get referred to a partner — weighted by region, current capacity and how well your clients retain.

We back you in front of clients

Bring us into the conversation. We will join client discussions to answer the platform and technical questions so you can stay on the advice.

Your client stays your client

A referral is not a handover. You keep the consulting relationship and the work that comes with it; we provide the platform underneath.

Status

One tier in public

Every active, trained partner is listed identically as an Approved Partner. There is no public ranking, no bronze-silver-gold badge on your website, and nothing that tells a prospective client you are further down someone’s list.

Listed as an Approved Partner

The same listing for everyone who is active and trained. What you have billed is not broadcast to your market.

Earned benefits stay private

Reaching a threshold changes what you get — conference costs, roadmap access — not how you are described in public. The rewards are functional rather than a badge.

Development and access

Closer to the product

You are advising clients on a system you need to know properly. Partners get earlier access and a route into what gets built.

Early access to new modules

See and use what is coming before it is generally available, so you are never learning a module at the same time as your client.

Roadmap input group

Top-tier partners sit in the group that shapes what gets built next. You are in front of more sites than we are, and it shows in the feedback.

Product training

Structured training through onboarding and again at the conference, plus a demo environment of your own to work in.

Every eight weeks

Expert briefings

A standing session with health and safety and legal experts from New Zealand, Australia and further afield. Six a year, free to partners, run on Zoom — the kind of session consultants would otherwise pay to attend.

The timing matters. The Health and Safety at Work Amendment Act 2026 comes into force on 1 April 2027, shifting the weight onto critical risks, narrowing some duties for small businesses and officers, and giving approved codes of practice a stronger legal role. Your clients will be asking what it means for them well before the guidance settles. This is where you get the answer first.

The annual partner conference

Thursday arrival and dinner, a Friday programme finishing at 3pm, and an optional self-funded weekend if you want to make more of it. What you pay depends on where your Safety revenue has got to — grow the book and the conference stops costing you anything.

Tiers are measured on HazNode® Safety monthly recurring revenue at a cut-off date in early 2027, confirmed to partners well ahead of time. We share the thresholds, and what each tier costs, when you join. Top-tier partners contribute to the programme — presenting a session, hosting a table, or bringing a client along.

From application to first commission

01

Apply

Tell us about your practice, the clients you look after, and the markets you work in. We are looking for consultants who already advise on health, safety or hygiene.

02

Get set up

We countersign the agreement, give you a demo environment, and train your team on the platform so you can speak to it credibly in front of a client.

03

Register the client

Register an organisation before you pitch. That makes you the consultant of record for that tenancy, so attribution is settled before it can become a disagreement.

04

Earn every month

We contract, onboard and bill the client. You are paid monthly on the Safety revenue collected, for as long as you remain their consultant of record.

Questions consultants ask

Who is this programme for?

Health and safety consultants, occupational hygienists and advisory practices who already have client relationships and get asked which system their clients should be using. If you are advising organisations on their safety obligations, you are already doing the hardest part of the sale.

What is the commission, exactly?

We believe our rates are some of the best in the market, and rather than make you take that on faith we will show you the schedule on the first call so you can compare it against anything else you have been offered. Commission is paid on HazNode® Safety subscription revenue we actually collect, monthly, for as long as you are the client’s consultant of record.

How and when am I paid?

Monthly, on cash collected rather than contracts signed. Amounts exclude tax and are calculated before Stripe’s processing fees are deducted, so you are not paying a share of our payment costs. We issue a self-billed invoice once you have accepted the statement, which means you do not have to raise one.

Do I have to resell or invoice my clients?

No. This is a referral programme, not a reseller one. HazNode contracts with the client and bills them directly, so you carry no billing infrastructure, no credit risk and no obligations under the client’s subscription agreement.

Does referring a client mean handing over the relationship?

No. You keep the consulting relationship, and in most cases a client on a proper system means more work for you rather than less — the data is structured, the registers are current, and the gaps are visible. We provide the platform, not the advice. We will also join client discussions when you want us there to handle the technical questions.

How long does commission actually run for?

For as long as the relationship lasts, rather than a fixed term. You earn while you are an active partner and the client is linked to you as their consultant of record. It is not a perpetual annuity on a client you no longer work with — if an organisation moves to a different consultant, the commission moves to that consultant. The same rule works in your favour when a client comes to you from someone else.

What happens if two partners refer the same client?

Every client tenancy attaches to exactly one consultant of record, and that is settled at registration rather than afterwards. If someone has already registered an organisation, we tell you straight away instead of letting both of you work the same account.

Is there a public ranking of partners?

No. There is one public tier — every active, trained partner is listed identically as an Approved Partner. What you have billed is nobody else’s business, and it is not signalled to your market. Benefits you earn by growing are private and functional rather than a badge on your website.

Do I get access to my clients’ data in HazNode?

Only if the client gives it to you. A referral by itself grants you no access to anything in a client’s account — their data is theirs, and any access is arranged between you and them under their own subscription.

Which countries is the programme open in?

The programme is launching in New Zealand and Australia first, which is where our support and onboarding are based. If you are elsewhere and interested, apply anyway and we will let you know when we open your market.
